Part fact, part fiction, of Fanciful Creatures uses memory and fantasy as tools towards a better understanding of that which can be understood. I have found the most truth, the most insight, in those things that I have created without prejudice or restraint.

Insight comes not with the writing, but months or years later, when the smoke has cleared and life is more easily observed.
