In recent weeks, my career in magazine publishing came to an end. I am now a statistic on the nightly news. The good news is, I’m actually glad for it. I have been wanting to make a career shift for sometime now.
Coupled with the small but significant hole in my heart for California I recalled these images of California sunsets. There’s nothing like a California sunset. Due to relative ease of reaching a visita and the sheer volume of sunny days, its impossible not to soak one of these up many times a week. We were fortunate to have two residences that offered such views over the course of 4 years. Deep in the Carolina pines, unless you got one kick ass treehouse, its hard to find someplace to take in a great sunset.

The following images are all snapshots taken from our hilltop home in Elysian Park. It overlooked the Echo Park neighborhood on one side, and historic Elysian Park and Dodger stadium and downtown on the otherside. It was a magnificant place to live. A few of these were taken from my living room. Sunsets like these were literally fixtures in my house every single day.

So back to the sunseting of my career in publishing there comes a sunrise to my career in the more durable and sustainable service industry. The search has begun. I’ll share more when I can.
