Erik's Animal Competes for the 2008 MAVRIC Song of the Year Award!
by Holly Putenholsen, Dec 14, 02:11 PM
Hey Hey Hey Hey!
Ever since I heard the Angry Monkey album, I’ve wished I was Cindy, or could be Cindy for a day, or at the very least, a walrus for a day provided that Baby Man was to be found about. But, Enough..before i lose you to my capricious semi-sexual daydreams about Erik’s Animal’s front man, I need to announce that this fine young specimen of manhood has been nominated by Ventura county’s local music award program known as MAVRIC in both the Dance AND Rock categories, for SONG OF THE YEAR!!
Since Erik’s of high standing here at OMS, we thought we’d encourage everyone who swings by this neck of the woods to head over to MAVRIC’s site and vote for Erik’s Animal! This is one musician who definitely deserves this recognition and all of our support here at Oxen Media Studios.
As a super hot artsy chick i beg you, please come (tehe) and vote for Erik’s Animal!
Just head over to this site and follow the directions:

Hey hey everyone!
I was sitting on my white wicker lounge chair in my sun room this morning, enjoying the autumn light, the birds in the trees, and a nice cup of hot tea, when the phone rang and, lo and behold, who is it but one of the boss men calling me on a Saturday in a four-day holiday weekend.
So I’ve sharpened my pencils and put on my working-cap, and now I’m going to tell you about two exciting things (that really could have waited for Monday, but hey, I don’t run this show now, do I?)
First, RSS feeds are implemented! Nate says he’s rolled out RSS for this (the News), and Patrick’s The Accidental Transcendentalist, and Milton’s of Fanciful Creatures. The rest of the blogs will be implemented soon.
The RSS feeds can be added to your reader by going to the blog you want to add and clicking the little orange RSS icon in your browser’s URL bar. But you knew that already, right kiddies?
Or, if you like, here are the direct links to the RSS feeds:
The News RSS
The Accidental Transcendentalist RSS
of Fanciful Creatures RSS
Second, we now have commenting enabled in the blogs! Well, at least, Nate says he thinks it is working. This post will be the first place we’re going to test this out in the real world. So, if it looks like you can comment, go ahead and give it a whirl!
Third, the music players are fixed!
Well, that’s it ladies and gents! I’m going to make another cup of tea and go back to reading 2666 !
xoxo
Holly
